Principal's Corner

Welcome to the 2019 – 2020 school year. I am looking forward to working with you and your student as we work toward an academically successful school year. Our veteran staff from last school year will be returning. We remain committed to supporting the students and families in the Jennings community, fostering a positive educational experience for our students. Dr. Herman Harris is a graduate of Wagner High School, Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. He received a B.S. in Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and began teaching after a career in the United States Armed Forces. He entered education through the

Troops to Teachers Program and served in a number of roles at Jennings High School for 11 years; social studies teacher, department chair, Assistant Principal and Dean of Students, prior to his appointment as the Alternative School Administrator.  Dr. Harris received his Doctorate from the University of Missouri St. Louis in 2015.  He remains committed to serving the students and families in the Jennings School District.
